Day 2 of giving thanks—- Democracy

I, like many of you, exercised my civic duty today.  We are blessed to live in a free county! On Day 2, and every other day, I am thankful for democracy.

Our culture has bred an epidemic of entitlement. Much of the problems in our country spur from this attitude. Entitlement, is a downside to the liberties we receive as Americans. If we get caught in these feelings, we lose sight of the foundation of our country.

We are blessed to be Americans. We are blessed to live in a country that was founded by men who believed in God. We are blessed that, despite the far left push, God still has his hand on our nation. We are blessed to have the freedoms of the Constitution. We are blessed that we can select our leaders. We are blessed to have a strong military that continues to provide these freedoms. We are blessed!

I thank God for these freedoms, for my birthplace, for my safety, for your safety, for your freedoms.

If you have never voted… think about it like this…. God has given you this amazing gift of the right to vote. By refusing or being apathetic toward voting, you are saying, “thanks, but no thanks God.”  You’ve missed it this year, but you can make it up to him in 2 years!!
